The main goal at Monkey Bizness is to establish a positive relationship between the Support Center and each new Franchisee in order to effectively and efficiently run a successful Monkey Bizness franchise location. This Operations Manual outlines the systems, policies, and procedures that differentiate the Monkey Bizness brand.
The primary purpose of the Operations Manual and supporting documentation is to provide information which will help ensure brand consistency and drive the profitability of your franchised business. Throughout the Operations Manual you will find references to supporting documents which are indicated by bold, italic and underlined print. The Monkey Bizness model has proven to be extremely successful when Franchisees strictly adhere to the policies, procedures, and processes as detailed in this Manual and supporting documentation. In addition, adherence to the processes and procedures as described in the documentation are a contractual requirement of your Franchise Agreement.
This Operations Manual and supporting documents include references to certain legal and regulatory requirements that may affect your business. Although MB Franchising, LLC provides this guidance as assistance, it is not exhaustive. Legal and regulatory laws, rules and regulations vary substantially from state to state and Franchisees should consult their own legal and other professional advisors to ensure that they are in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations applicable to the operation of your business.
While these materials outline the required practices relative to the operation, each Franchisee is an independent business owner, and it is your responsibility to establish certain policies where it is appropriate and remain x with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. All of the instructions, information, suggestions, and guidance contained in the Operations Manual and all supporting documents, by MB Franchising, LLC (“Franchisor”, “Monkey Bizness”) as it relates to your guests, your staff, and your decisions, and processes and procedures related to your guests and staff, are only recommendations. The Franchisor has no liability with regard to matters related to your guests and staff and your decisions, processes, and procedures related to your guests and staff.
Throughout this documentation, Monkey Bizness will refer to you (“Franchisee”) and Supervisor (“Supervisor”). Your “Supervisor” is defined as someone you recruit, interview and hire to maintain and uphold the Monkey Bizness brand standards and maintain the operational good standing of the business under your direct supervision.
In summary, the operational standards set forth in all documentation provided to you are designed to protect the Monkey Bizness brand and the trademarks and service marks associated with the franchise system, and not to control the day-to-day operation of your location. Franchisees at all times will remain responsible for the operation of their location, and all activities occurring at the unit level. Franchisees must hire, train, discipline and otherwise be solely responsible for their staff members. The Franchisor is not responsible for, and does not direct or control the conduct of your staff members.
Importance of Confidentiality
Monkey Bizness has developed certain proprietary products and services that are unique to the Monkey Bizness system. Keeping such information from competitors will play an important part in the success of the entire Monkey Bizness organization.
As a Monkey Bizness Franchisee, you understand that this Operations Manual and all supporting documentation is the property of the Franchisor and that it is on loan to you as long as you remain a Franchisee in good standing. Confidential information includes, but may not be limited to, methods of operation, marketing techniques and programs, financial performance, and user names and passwords allowing access to protected areas on the website or computer network.
You also acknowledge that this Manual contains proprietary information of the Franchisor. You agree to maintain the absolute confidentiality and security of all materials at all times during and after the term of your Franchise Agreement.
Your staff members may need to have access to certain documents to support daily operations. However, you should only divulge the confidential information to individuals who must have access to it in order to carry out the duties of their jobs. As a Franchisee, you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that all documentation is kept strictly confidential.
Content Updates
Monkey Bizness may, from time to time, revise the contents of the Operations Manual and supporting documentation, when such revisions are considered necessary to improve or maintain the standards of the Monkey Bizness brand. These changes will be considered effective immediately upon receipt of notification of the updates, unless otherwise specified by the Franchisor. Updates will be communicated through the intranet site. You are responsible for making sure you are current on all policy and procedure changes.

The Monkey Bizness brand serves a niche market targeted at children from 1-10 years old. Monkey Bizness believes in core offerings and in holding true to the fundamentals that made the business successful. These fundamentals include providing a safe, clean environment for kids to have fun, activity-based play that exercises the mind and body, and a strong effort to become ingrained in local communities.
Monkey Bizness provides kids a place to have a fun, action-packed experience in a safe supervised environment. Whatever the occasion—birthday parties, sports teams, good grades, between-grade “graduations,” corporate team building, or any other special event—a party at Monkey Bizness is the perfect way to celebrate. Monkey Bizness takes the hassle out of party planning for parents. Monkey Bizness provides a private, safe and secure business in which parents can relax while their kids “monkey around!”
While the child is integral to our business, what differs Monkey Bizness from competitors is our concentration on the entire family. We have and will continue to place a concentration on the parent’s as well as the children. This means providing healthy snacks, comfortable seating, and an overall customer experience for them that surpasses our competitors.
Monkey Bizness facilities average 10,000 to 12,000 square feet, with 6,000 to 8,000 square feet devoted to exciting play areas. Kids enjoy sliding down a massive inflatable slide, or the challenge of climbing the indoor climbing wall. They can also race through the obstacle course and then climb, swing and slide in the Monkey Jungle. There is also a separate area just for toddlers. When parents book a party at Monkey Bizness, their children get the entire playroom all to themselves without having to share the attractions with other parties and guests.
In 2007, based on the success of the initial concept, a spin-off of the Monkey Bizness concept was established so that Franchisees could have flexible real estate options. Little Monkey Bizness is a full-service coffee house that averages 6,000 to 8,000-sq-ft with a 3,000-4,000-sq-ft play area for kids including a separate arts and crafts room. This area caters to parents who care about a safe, clean play place for their kids with age-appropriate equipment but who also feel the need to nurture themselves. Little Monkey Bizness provides a guilt-free place where parents and kids get the best of both worlds. This model is aimed at kids ages 1-6 years old. Parents can enjoy a gourmet cup of coffee, latte, cappuccino or any of a host of gourmet beverages. Monkey Bizness also offers a variety of pre-packaged snacks and food choices for kids; everything to make your visit complete. Little Monkey Bizness hosts regular open play times as well as birthday parties.

While the goal of Monkey Bizness is to drive market growth and build positive brand awareness, your responsibility is also to support the franchise systems and maximize sales in your local market. Monkey Bizness must rely on you to deliver on the values of the brand and to cooperate in maintaining the systems and standards that have been carefully developed through years of research and experience. Each Franchisee has the following responsibilities when joining Monkey Bizness:
